Every July, Tanzania's Sabasaba Trade Fair in Dar es Salaam brings together businesses, government agencies, and NGOs from across the country and the continent. For KSM, Sabasaba 2024 was a landmark event.
Partnership: TAHA Supply Chain
The Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA) has agreed to formally integrate KSM-certified farmers into their premium export supply chain.
This means our farmers who meet the organic standards we train them to achieve will now have direct access to lucrative international markets, fetching prices 2–3 times higher than domestic equivalents.
Solar Pump Subsidy Program
A leading East African solar energy company partnered with KSM to provide heavily subsidized solar-powered water pumps to farmers in our network.
The initial rollout targets 300 farmers in low-rainfall areas, enabling year-round cultivation regardless of the season and reducing reliance on manual watering.
These partnerships are the proof of concept for what KSM has always believed: that sustainable agriculture is not charity — it is a sound business model that creates shared value for everyone in the chain.
